Can-do hospital raffles cars to help pay for new CT

When a community hospital needs a $1.9 million CT scanner, its foundation turns to its community.

At least, that’s what’s happening at Sault Area Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

“[W]hen this CT scanner is purchased and is helping diagnose patients of our community, we’ve all won,” says the volunteer chairman of “5-Car Draw,” one of the hospital’s grassroots fundraising efforts.
