Veteran medical imaging diagnostic professional Randy Hill appointed to Myocardial Solutions board

Myocardial Solutions, an MRI technologies maker, has appointed Randy Hill to its board of directors, the company said in a statement.

Hill was formerly CEO of Siemens Healthcare and VasoDiagnostics, where he will remain a director.

"I am very impressed with MSI's innovative SENC technology and its capability to invigorate the potential of CMR by providing, almost real time, quantitative cardiac stress testing results to enable physician decision-making,” Hill said. “Myocardial's strain testing technology is well validated, fast, easy to use and accurate. Thus, it should offer a very competitive alternative to cardiac nuclear stress testing.”

Prior to VasoDiagnostics, he was the chairman of the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance, an industry association that represents more than 90 percent of medical imaging technology companies.

"Randy's extensive experience in the medical imaging diagnostic industry, as well as his background in sales and marketing, uniquely qualifies him to help MSI strategically position its cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) technology for cardiac stress testing," said John Funkhouser, CEO of Myocardial Solutions. "It's a great honor to welcome Randy, a well-respected industry leader, to our board and be able to call on his deep industry knowledge and experience."
