ABII sees demand for IT, radiologic tech certs growing
The American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) has reportedly seen increased demand for radiologic and IT certifications sparked by the growing importance of imaging informatics.

The nonprofit ABII said that since its establishment in 2007, it has certified 612 Certified Imaging Informatics Professionals. Certification consists of point-based admission followed by an exam comprising several areas of “key knowledge," one-third of which tests image management and IT skills.

The ABII was founded by the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Its aims are to improve patient care, professionalism and competence in imaging informatics.
