Agfa introduces remote PACS monitoring service
Agfa HealthCare has introduced an electronic monitoring service for Impax PACS worldwide designed to prevent unexpected downtime in the healthcare environment.
The service, called Global Remote Incident Prevention (GRIP), initially will be based at Agfa’s central monitoring center in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, with other regional GRIP facilities planned to open soon, according to the company.
GRIP also provides oversight of select devices from other suppliers linked to an Impax PACS, and if a potential issue is identified, members of the GRIP team can intervene either remotely or by contacting a local technician.
