Barco employs display & QA software at UVA
Advanced visualization provider Barco has been selected by the University of Virginia (UVA) Health System for its diagnostic and DICOM-compliant clinical review display technology, the Coronis Fusion 6MP display and the MDRC-2120 clinical review station.

According to Kortrijk, Belgium-based Barco, UVA now utilizes Coronis Fusion displays for multi-modality imaging on a single screen, including CT, MR, echocardiogram and cath lab images. The MDRC-2120 clinical review displays have been implemented throughout the hand and spine center, cancer center, thoracic cardiovascular area, surgical suites, ICU and several other departments within the health system.

In addition to the visualization technology, UVA has implemented Barco’s MediCal QAWeb software, for automated quality assurance, testing and adjustment of PACS displays remotely, added the company.
