Elekta, a Stockholm-based maker of equipment and software used in radiation oncology and neurosurgery, has divested its Anatomic Pathology Information System business to U.S.-based Sunquest Information Systems for $32.8 million.

Marketed under the name PowerPath, the software line helps manage workflow for laboratories offering surgical pathology, cytology, dermatopathology and autopsy services.

Sunquest is based in Tucson, Ariz., and provides laboratory and diagnostic information systems and products.
