Exploring clinical solutions at the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase

In an era where health information exchange is vital to achieving providers’ goals for patient care, standards that facilitate communication between systems and organizations will be essential. To help demonstrate the benefits of such standards-based IT solutions, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has been hosting HIMSS Interoperability Showcases around the world, and your next chance to be involved happens in Chicago this April.

HIMSS Interoperability Showcases, produced in partnership with Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), offer interactive demonstrations and opportunities for collaboration between stakeholders. Clinically-accurate use cases allow visitors to interact with scenarios that simulate healthcare environments across the care continuum. Representatives from IHE, HL7, government agencies and more will be on hand to discuss the adoption of standards-based information exchange.

The next HIMSS Interoperability Showcase will take place at the HIMSS15 Annual Conference and Exhibition in Chicago. The full conference runs April 12 – 16, while the Interoperability Showcase will take place April 13 – 15.
