Fujifilm Medical Systems has released its Synapse RIS and Synapse TeleRIS version 6.0 applications. The addition to Fujifilm’s Synapse medical informatics portfolio includes support for Microsoft’s latest .NET Framework 4.0 platform, along with enhancements to the Synapse Communication toolset.
Capabilities available in version 6.0 include web-form controls, updating worklists, a configurable home page, configurable radiology reports to referrers and a multi-day scheduler. Version 6.0 is designed to run in a virtualized environment, Fujifilm added, and includes voice and video conferencing capabilities as part of Synapse Communications.
Valley Baptist Health System in Harlingen, Texas, and Aultman Hospital, in Canton, Ohio, are implementing the new version, according to Stamford, Conn.-based Fujifilm.
Fujifilm will show Synapse RIS version 6.0 Aug. 14-17 at the 2011 AHRA meeting in Grapevine, Texas.
