Sectra sells visualization table to Russian oncology center
St. Petersburg Scientific Practical Centre for Oncology in Russia has invested in the Sectra Visualization Table, which the hospital’s oncologists will use to plan surgery and treatment.

With Sectra Visualization Table, users can interact collaboratively with real-size 3D images generated by CT and MRI scanners. Physicians can visualize different kinds of tissues and cut through sections with a virtual knife. It also allows physicians to assess size, form and orientation of a tumor and its relation to surrounding tissue and vessels.

The large monitor and touch interface support group discussion between medical teams, and provide a learning platform for interns and residents to discuss the surgical procedure with the physician before and after the operation, Sectra added.

The visualization table is powered by a Sectra PACS workstation.
