Ultrasonix releases ultrasound recording software
Ultrasonix has introduced SonixVCR, which is software that records, stores and exports ultrasound exams in a standard digital format.

SonixVCR files are compressed and saved as MPEG1 recordings and can be stored or shared electronically within the same HIPAA Compliance Protocols as still or multi-frame images, said the Richmond, British Columbia-based developer of diagnostic ultrasound systems. The on-board recording feature is available on Sonix Series ultrasound systems and can record up to 60 minutes of imaging per file. SonixVCR files can be distributed for review or transferred to SonixHUB, an Ultrasonix exam management, credentialing and archiving system.
