Unisyn sells acoustic power testing labs to Acertara
Unisyn Medical Technologies, which provides mammography system repair and ultrasound system training and repair, has sold its acoustic power testing assetts to Acertara Acoustic Laboratories. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Acertara will provide advanced acoustic power testing, regulatory and quality consulting, and related products and services to ultrasound original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and regulatory bodies. The company will be majority-owned by G. Wayne Moore—who will move from Unisyn to Acertara—and a minority equity ownership interest will be held by Medical Imaging Holdings, Unisyn’s parent company.

Acertara now will be based in Longmont, Colo., and Unisyn is headquartered in Golden, Colo.—an hour drive from each other.

After the transition, Acertara said it will continue to "work closely" with Unisyn. “Moore will continue to provide advisory services to Unisyn," said the company. "In addition, Acertara will provide acoustic power testing and consulting services related to ultrasound probe repair to Unisyn on an exclusive basis.”
