Visage Imaging closes sale of Amira division to VSG
Visage Imaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pro Medicus, has signed a definitive agreement to complete the sale of its Amira division to Visualization Sciences Group (VSG).

The €12.1 million ($14.9 million U.S.) transaction was originally announced as a signed, binding letter of intent on July 2, which closed July 31.

Post-sale, San Diego-based Visage Imaging said it plans to focus on the needs of the global diagnostic imaging and radiology markets. “Our focus no longer spans both clinical research and diagnostic imaging, which in practice have different stakeholders, divergent needs and limited synergies,” said Sam Hupert, MD, CEO of Visage Imaging and Pro Medicus.
