AI supercomputer platform may redefine medical imaging

Nvidia has released a new series of products aimed to accelerate the research and development of artificial intelligence (AI), with one focused on medical imaging, according to a recent article by Forbes.

A company specializing in machine learning, deep learning and AI, Nvidia revealed its new medical supercomputer, Project Clara, at the GPU Technology Conference in Santa Clara, California, from March 26 to 29.

The AI computing platform is virtual and scalable. Additionally, this integration will shorten MRI time while enhancing image quality.

"Project Clara aims to modernize legacy imaging scanners that can't be updated with the latest technology based on GPUs or high-performance computers," according to the article. "These systems have very limited access to AI and image processing technologies when compared to the recent versions."
