Feldkirchen, Germany, November 3, 2016 – Qioptiq, an Excelitas Technologies® Company and global technology leader focused on delivering innovative optical and photonic solutions, announces the latest upgrade to its popular imaging lens selection software – MachVis 5.0. Designed to simplify the tasks of vision system designers and engineers, MachVis 5.0 Vision Lens Selector provides an easy-to-use platform, which delivers faster and more comprehensive product data results for all LINOS Machine Vision and now Optem FUSION Micro-Imaging Lenses.
MachVis software makes it easy to select the right lens for a wide variety of applications, including machine vision, microscopy, dimensional measurement, quality assurance, inspection, robotics and automated imaging. By specifying the basic parameters of your imaging task, the software recommends suitable lenses from the extensive Qioptiq portfolio of machine vision lenses, including all necessary accessories and instantly illustrates a schematic of complete system set-ups. The software also acts as a product database and offers quick and easy access to all drawings and data of all products. New MachVis 5.0 features include:
- Added Optem FUSION integration
- Configuration wizard for Optem FUSION and mag.x system 125
- Update checker
- Updated datasheets
- 3D data of lenses and accessories
“Using four simple parameters — object size, working distance, sensor size and camera mount — MachVis calculates the necessary optical parameters and then pre-selects all suitable lenses to meet customer specifications,” said Thomas Schäffler, Director of Optical Inspection at Qioptiq. “The enhancements introduced with the new MachVis 5.0 software not only improve its ease-of-use, but also its ability to deliver comprehensive results – allowing users to quickly identify the right lens for their application parameters.”
MachVis 5.0 Vision Lens Selector is now available for download from the Qioptiq website, and will be highlighted at VISION 2016 (Hall 1 Stand H66) in Stuttgart, Germany, November 8 - 10, 2016. For more information about Qioptiq, visit www.qioptiq.com, or Excelitas, visit www.excelitas.com.
