Avid Radiopharmaceuticals creates CMO position
Avid Radiopharmaceuticals has appointed Mark A. Mintun, MD to the newly created position of chief medical officer.

Previously, Mintun served as the vice chair for research and as the director of the Center for Clinical Imaging Research at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

Mintun’s research portfolio includes development of methods for imaging oxygen metabolism, the development of techniques for mapping human brain function and the use of PET amyloid imaging to identify the earliest pathological changes of Alzheimer’s disease, said Avid, which based in Philadelphia.
