Generic Cardiolite gets approval, to ship via GE network
DraxImage, a subsidiary of Jubilant Organosys of Noida, India, has received FDA approval for its abbreviated new drug applicatio for its generic Sestamibi, a generic version of Lantheus Medical Imaging's Cardiolite.

The Kirkland, Quebec-based DraxImage said Sestamibi is a generic kit used in the preparation of Technetium (Tc-99m) Sestamibi injection, a diagnostic cardiac imaging agent used in myocardial perfusion imaging to evaluate the flow of blood to the heart.

Jubilant, through DraxImage, has an exclusive distribution agreement with GE Healthcare to distribute and sell DraxImage's generic Sestamibi through GE's U.S. nuclear pharmacy network.
