Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City has deployed the cardiac nuclear imaging system, Discovery NM 530c from GE Healthcare.

The cadmium zinc telluride (CZT)-based camera allows physicians to assess the location, extent, and severity of heart disease, said Mount Sinai. GE's Discovery camera features CZT detectors; focused pin-hole collimation; stationary data acquisition and 3D reconstruction of the myocardial region.
