Nucletron, a developer of radiotherapy technologies for cancer treatment, has formed a partnership with Velocity Medical Solutions to distribute Velocity Advanced Imaging (VelocityAI) products globally.

VelocityAI can be aligned with the Nucletron Oncentra platform for advanced visualization, automated multi-modality image registration and quantitative imaging information. Cancer centers currently use Velocity software to provide tumor targeting and monitor patient response to treatment, according to the Veenendaal, the Netherlands-based Nucletron and Atlanta-based Velocity.

VelocityAI also provides atlas segmentation to assist in delineating anatomical structures of interest, the companies said. For treatment response assessment, VelocityAI uses automated image registration technology for assessing the changes during and after therapy between imaging studies, including cone-beam CT and molecular imaging.
