Positron debuts radiopharma auto-dispensor
Positron will be introducing PosiRx, a radiopharmaceutical system that automates the elution, preparation and dispensing processes for molecular imaging radiopharmaceuticals.

Developed under the name Cardio-Assist, Positron will first unveil its PosiRx system at the upcoming annual meeting of the American Pharmacists Association, March 25 to 28, in Seattle, and the following week at the annual conference of the American College of Cardiology, April 2 to 5, in New Orleans. The immediate focus of the PosiRx system will be on handling technetium 99m SPECT imaging agents according to the Fishers, Ind.-based Positron.

The company said PosiRx will provide imaging departments with 24/7 unit dose accessibility, as well as on-site supply and assistance in compliance with all current USP-797 requirements for the production of unit dose pharmaceuticals.
