University Nuclear and Diagnostics, a company providing technologies to physician practices and hospitals offering nuclear stress tests, has reached a definitive agreement to acquire ProtectionPlus, a nuclear camera service and repair company.

Avi E. Soffer, CEO of the Davie, Fla.-based UND, said that the combined company will offer savings to the provider as UND seeks to eliminate excessive costs associated with nuclear stress testing.
