Alliance Imaging hires two new execs
Alliance Imaging, a provider of outpatient diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy services, has named Richard J. Hall as president of Alliance Oncology and Mark Carol, MD, as chief medical officer of Alliance.

Both executives will join Alliance on Nov. 3, reporting to Paul Viviano, CEO and chairman of the board.

Hall’s healthcare background includes more than 25 years experience in both the public and private sectors, including approximately four years as senior vice president of business development and marketing for US Oncology, according to the Newport Beach, Calif.-based Alliance. Hall began his career with American Hospital Supply and has held positions with General Medical, McKesson, PatientKeeper and BrightStar Healthcare.

Carol has more than 20 years experience in radiation oncology, Alliance said. He founded and served as president and chief technology officer, and eventually CEO, of his own medical device company that developed and sold technology for use in neurosurgery and radiation therapy, which became known as NOMOS. Most recently, Carol served in an executive leadership position within Xoft.
