CMS asks for resubmission of 2010 payment rate comments
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is requesting that some stakeholders resubmit comments on proposed rules for the 2010 Physician Fee Schedule and Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System/Ambulatory Surgical Center Payment System, according to an Aug. 26 notice in the Federal Register.
According to the agency, a “minor software problem” resulted in the nontransmittal of some public comments from July 26 through July 30. CMS said the software error affected a few federal agencies. CMS asked for comments to be resubmitted by Aug. 31.
The proposed rules were initially published in the July 13 and the July 20 Federal Register, respectively.
CMS is requesting that those who transmitted comments on the proposed rules from July 26 through July 30 resubmit their comments before Aug. 31. Those who wish to resubmit comments may do so electronically, via mail, hand delivery or by courier.
