Healthcare sector added 19K jobs in April
In April, employment rose in the healthcare sector by 19,000, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

“Within the industry, employment in ambulatory healthcare services, which includes home healthcare and offices of physicians, rose by 15,000,” the agency noted in a May 4 statement.

Overall, total non-farm payroll employment rose by 115,000 in April. This increase followed a gain of 154,000 in March and gains averaging 252,000 per month for December 2011 to February.
