New Mexico treats patients using Varian RapidArc
The New Mexico Cancer Center in Albuquerque is using RapidArc from Varian Medical Systems to deliver stereotactic radiotherapy to patients.

Stereotactic radiotherapy utilizing RapidArc technology enables doctors to target metastatic brain tumors faster and more accurately than was possible with earlier treatment technologies, according to Bryan Goss, MD, a radiation oncologist at the center.

The New Mexico Cancer Center has also used RapidArc radiotherapy to treat prostate cancer with image-guided radiotherapy with a 90-second treatment time, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based Varian said.
