ProCure Treatment Centers, joined by Princeton-N.J.-based Princeton Radiation Oncology and Freehold, N.J.-based CentraState Healthcare System, came together to break ground at a site for the new ProCure Proton Therapy Center in Somerset, N.J.

Slated to open in 2012, the $160 million, 60,000-square-foot facility will create 400 temporary jobs while construction is under way and 100 permanent professional jobs once it opens, said the company.

According to Bloomington, Ind.-based ProCure, the groundbreaking ceremony was attended by more than 150 people, including cancer survivors of other ProCure locations.
