TomoTherapy, Novation ink supply deal
TomoTherapy, a provider of radiation therapy systems, has signed a supply agreement with Novation, a healthcare contracting services company of VHA, the University HealthSystem Consortium and Provista.

By adding the TomoTherapy Hi-Art treatment system to its radiation oncology portfolio, Novation’s members will be able to purchase, under contract, the cancer treatment products, according to Jenifer Axline, director of innovative technology at Irvine, Texas-based Novation.

The Madison, Wis.-based TomoTherapy said its Hi-Art system is a radiation therapy solution that uses a CT-style ring gantry design, CT-based image guidance and two delivery modes that share treatment planning and delivery process. TomoHelical mode enables delivery from angles around the patient in multiple, 360-degree rotations. The new TomoDirect mode allows clinicians to choose up to 12 discrete angles for treatment delivery.
