ACRs Radiology Leadership Institute adds RBMA as first affiliate
The American College of Radiology’s Radiology Leadership Institute (RLI) took another step toward its scheduled July 2012 launch with the addition of its first affiliate organization, the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA).

Based in Fairfax, Va., RBMA is a professional organization for radiology business management that offers education and resource opportunities to its members and the healthcare community. RBMA and RLI education programs serve the mutual interest of radiologists and radiology business professionals, according to the American College of Radiology (ACR).

“Over the last three years, through the ACR-RBMA Forum, radiologists and administrators have come together to address the pressing issues faced by radiology practices,” said Michael Mabry, RBMA’s executive director. “We welcome the opportunity to further this cooperation through the RLI.”

Through the RLI/RBMA affiliation, radiology leaders will be able to participate in leadership programming, earn continuing education credits from RLI for maintenance of RBMA member professional certifications, and have the opportunity to earn RLI certificates of leadership proficiency. RLI is the first professional development and leadership academy for radiology.

Space will also be reserved for RBMA members at the RLI invitation-only launch event scheduled for July 12 to 15, 2012, at Northwestern University’s Evanston, Ill., campus.
