Agfa HealthCare, UCH mark new stage in PACS deployment process
The University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has updated its Agfa HealthCare IMPAX PACS equipment to version 5.2. The agreement included hardware and software upgrades during the period of the contract.
The Trust entered into a contract with Agfa HealthCare for the provision of enterprise wide PACS in 2003, as one of the last Trusts in London to deploy PACS before the National Programme for IT came into operation, according to Agfa.
The project included the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery which became the first filmless hospital within the Trust.
