Allscripts adds Southwestern Medical to client roster
Healthcare information system developer Allscripts said that Southwestern Medical Clinic in Berrien Springs, Mich., has selected the Chicago-based firm to provide EHR and practice management systems for the practice.
Southwestern Medical Clinic is a multi-specialty group practice with 53 physicians and 13 mid-level providers caring for more than 80,000 patients in eight locations across rural Berrien County, Mich., Allscripts said.
The vendor said it will replace Southwestern Medical Clinic's 13-year-old practice management system and digitize the organization's paper medical charts, which currently are sent by courier between clinics, some of which are more than 30 miles apart.
