Amicas scores Connecticut deal
The Hospital of Central Connecticut has chosen Amicas' PACS, Reach and RadStream as radiology solutions.

Under the terms of the agreement, the hospital will utilize the firm's Web-based technology for integrated reading, productivity and critical results management. Amicas Reach allows radiology practices and departments to provide service to referring physicians via the communication of reports and images as well as follow-up order entry. Amicas RadStream reduces medical-legal risk by automating and documenting critical results communications, according to the Boston-based company.

The Hospital of Central Connecticut, which performs 200,000 radiology procedures annually, is comprised of the 330-bed general campus in New Britain, the 84-bed Bradley Memorial campus in Southington and six outpatient imaging satellites serving several hundred physicians in central Connecticut.
