Arizona hospital deploys GE volume CT system
Gilbert Hospital in Gilbert, Ariz., has installed a 64-slice Lightspeed volume CT (VCT) imaging system from GE Healthcare to diagnose disease and illnesses, including cardiovascular disease, stroke and chest pain.

In one rotation, GE said its LightSpeed VCT creates 64 high-resolution anatomical images, which are combined to form a 3D view of the patient's anatomy.

The hospital is an acute-care general hospital that serves 51,000 patients annually in its emergency department as well as its expanded in-patient including ICU, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, laboratory and surgery services.
