Atlanta facility deploys Toshiba's vascular x-ray system
The Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta has installed the Toshiba American Medical Systems' Infinix VF-i-vascular x-ray system to its 481-bed facility.

According to the Tustin, Calif.-based company, the Infinix advanced imaging processing (AIP) feature is utilized during cardiac and interventional procedures. In combination with the AIP capabilities, the system's 12x12-inch flat-panel detector provides a wider field of view during electrophysiologic procedures.

In addition, the company said the system is outfitted with a floor-mounted C-arm five-axis positioner that can obtain optimal angels for cardiac diagnosis and interventional procedures without re-positioning the patient.
