Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) has selected eClinicalWorks’ unified EMR and practice management for the GBMC's employed physician group, Greater Baltimore Medical Associates.

As part of this relationship, GBMC will utilize the following technologies from the Westborough, Mass.-based company:

• eClinicalWorks EMR/PM to manage patient flow, access patient records in-house or remotely, electronically communicate with referring physicians and send consult notes and clinical data;
• eClinicalWorks Patient Portal allows patients and doctors to communicate via the internet.
• Enterprise Business Optimizer for performing clinical and financial analytics; and
• Electronic Health eXchange to serve as a hub providing physicians with access to patients’ health information and allowing them to exchange data with each other and with its inpatient system.
