Philips Medical Systems this week signed a seven-year agreement to provide Baptist Health South Florida with radiology and cardiology picture archiving and communications systems (PACS) for the access of patient records across all Baptist Health facilities.

Baptist Health South Florida includes: Baptist Hospital of Miami, Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, South Miami Hospital, Baptist Children's Hospital, Doctors Hospital, Homestead Hospital, Mariners Hospital, Baptist Children's Hospital, and Baptist Outpatient Services. The network conducts some 800,000 radiology and cardiology procedures annually.

Philips plans to install and implement its Philips Diamond PACS this year and next, with completion across all facilities scheduled for 2005. Philips Medical Systems PACS products are designed and developed in partnership with Sectra Imtec AB in Sweden.
