Baptist HealthCare, a community-owned, nonprofit healthcare organization serving northwest Florida and southern Alabama, has executed an agreement with NextGen Healthcare Information Systems to deploy NextGen Ambulatory EHR and NextGen Practice Management.

Through this agreement, all Baptist-employed physicians will have access to the integrated NextGen platform. In addition, Baptist HealthCare will offer access to community physicians who choose to purchase the product, stated NextGen, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems based in Horsham, Pa.

Baptist HealthCare’s network includes four hospitals, two medical parks, Baptist Manor, Andrews Institute for Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, Lakeview Center and Baptist Medical Group. The NextGen platform will enable physicians to exchange data across the enterprise and help patient care by facilitating data collection, according to NextGen.
