Belgium signs Agfa for cardiovascular PACS
Agfa HealthCare has signed a contract for the delivery and installation of its Impax cardiovascular solution at the Antwerp University Hospital in Belgium.

The contract will provide enterprise-wide access to cardiology patient records to meet the diagnostic needs of the department and includes an eight year service, maintenance and licensing agreement, according to the company.

Employing a platform that supports both departmental and enterprise workflow, Agfa said that the Impax cardiovascular solution provides image acquisition, display, reporting, storage and distribution management from multiple cardiovascular imaging modalities.

The Antwerp University Hospital, which houses a staff of 2,500, counts 38 specialized medical services and treats nearly 200,000 patients per year.
