CareGroup Healthcare System, a Boston-based integrated delivery network (IDN) comprised of four hospitals, has selected InterSystems’ Ensemble integration and development platform to replace its eGate platform for integration throughout the organization.

Ensemble delivers access to live and previously processed messages for business processes, said InterSystems, of Cambridge, Mass.

CareGroup’s first major integration initiative involves integrating an SCC Soft Computer Softlab laboratory information system with the Ensemble platform, according to the InterSystems. CareGroup plans to deploy Ensemble at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center first and then to the community hospitals in the CareGroup network.
