Bostons Beth Israel Deaconess signs HDS deal
Beth Israel Deaconess Physician Organization (BIDPO) and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center have signed a new three-year agreement with Healthcare Data Services (HDS) under which HDS analysis and registry tools will provide managed care data management services, including analytical and reporting capabilities.

HDS' registry and analysis tools organize and extrapolate financial, utilization and outcomes data, and provide reporting systems that measure and analyze data.

BIDPO provides coordinated, integrated medical management programs and managed care contracts to its physician network of approximately 1,800 providers. The network is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, of Boston, which serves as the hospital site for tertiary and quaternary care for all of BIDPO’s providers.

Leveraging the HDS technology will enable BIDPO to reduce financial risk, cut costs by monitoring efficiencies and improve the quality of healthcare services offered to patients, according to Boston-based HDS.
