Capital Breast Care Center installs Mammopad
Mammography supplier BioLucent installed its Mammopad in the Capital Breast Care Center (CBCC) of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
The Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based company said it anticipates utilization of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved foam cushion will increase the number of women, who are willing to undergo mammographic screens at the facility.
“The breast cushion eases discomfort by providing a soft, warmer cushion for the breast during mammography,” said Amari Sokoya Pearson-Fields, executive director of the CBCC. "And because women are more relaxed during the exam, it makes it even easier for our mammography technologists to get the best possible image."
