Centura Health to add information management system via MEDITECH
Centura Health has announced that Medical Information Technology Inc. (MEDITECH), based in Westwood, Mass., will install its Health Care Information System (HCIS) across its 12-hospital system, with the primary goal to share critical patient information throughout the entire Centura organization.

To that end, the clinical components of the HCIS includes an electronic medical record, computerized order entry, chronic disease management, patient education, physician documentation, nursing communication and more. Most importantly, these products, along with the administrative components, will enable Centura to track and share information on patients ' medical treatments and clinical outcomes.

Centura Health currently runs several different clinical systems throughout its 12 hospitals, with several systems running on multiple platforms.
