Cerner nets EMR install at Abu Dhabi hospital
The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has implemented an EMR from Cerner at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to automate processes across the hospital.

Tawam Hospital, in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine, is a 468-bed tertiary care hospital owned and operated by SEHA. In addition to Tawam Hospital, five hospitals and 12 clinics throughout Abu Dhabi will implement the new EMR system in 2008-2009. The new system will eventually link all 11 SEHA hospitals and more than 39 clinics in Abu Dhabi, Cerner said.

SEHA is implementing the Cerner Millennium healthcare IT computing platform. Gulf Business Machines provided the hardware while Cerner and Etisalat provided the secure network and data center, according to the company.
