Contracts for AMICAS, MCN Healthcare, Misys, NovaRad
AMICAS has signed a PACS contract with Advanced Radiology of Millville, N.J. a provider of outpatient imaging services, including general radiography, open and closed MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, mammography, ultrasound, and fluoroscopic procedures.

MCN Healthcare, a provider of regulatory compliance and learning solutions for the healthcare industry, said that Desert Canyon Rehabilitation Hospital of Las Vegas, is the launch customer for the company’s Policy Manager, the newest offering within MCN's ellucid software platform. Policy Manager is designed to provide organizations with a customizable content management system developed specifically for healthcare workflow. The application enables easy import and uploading functions for the customer’s existing documents. Online access is available to promote greater efficiencies and communication among staff and committees to review, edit, share and approve documents from virtually any location. Policy Manager can be coupled with the ellucid online Policy Library containing 82 manuals and over 17,000 compliant-ready policies, procedures and forms.

Misys Healthcare Systems said that Houston Hospice has selected Misys Homecare to help better care for their terminally ill patients. By utilizing Misys Homecare, Houston Hospice will have immediate access to patient information with an easy-to-use, fully-integrated, intuitive clinical and business solution so clinicians can spend the time where they are needed most. Houston Hospice is a nonprofit organization that provides end-of-life care to Houston and the surrounding communities in Texas.

NovaRad Corporation announces two new NovaPACS contracts in Tennessee. The contracts bring the total number of NovaPACS installations in Tennessee to eight. The facilities signing with NovaRad include the 160-bed Woods Memorial Hospital in Etowah; and StatCare Pulmonary Consultants in Knoxville.

The contract with StateCare Pulmonary Consultants was facilitated by iPro, a NovaRad distributor.
