San Francisco Advanced Medical Imaging has installed a Toshiba 64-slice high-speed CT scanner, the first in the region. The facility was established in San Francisco in 2004 and recently selected as an official authorized Toshiba training site, offering physicians from around the country educational cardiac CT platforms. With the new CT scanner, San Francisco Advanced Medical Imaging is taking a collaborative approach to cardiac CT imaging by integrating cardiologists into interpretation of images, along with its radiologists. Together, these physicians are now reading, diagnosing and designing treatment plans of care most suitable for their patients.
