Siemens Medical Solutions has inked a $12 million provider agreement with DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale, a new, state-of-the-art hospital with 100 private patient room that is scheduled to open in summer 2005.
   
As part of the facility's opening, Siemens said it will install a range of imaging technologies for diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, including flat-panel radiography systems, 16-slice CT, echocardiography, ultrasound, single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), C-arm and mammography systems. Highlights include:

• Siemens' Somatom Sensation 16, the Magnetom Avanto 1.5-Tesla MRI system with Tim technology, and the Axiom Artis dTA, the first digital ceiling-mounted universal angiography C-arm system equipped with flat-panel detector (FD) technology.
• Siemens Leonardo workstation also will be deployed for comparison and post-processing of data and results from different imaging modalities.
