Radiation therapy device and information system developer Elekta said it has signed a contract with group purchasing organization (GPO) Resource Optimization & Innovation. The GPO serves the St. Louis-based Sisters of Mercy Health System.

Under terms of the agreement, the Sisters of Mercy will offer its members the image-guided Elekta Synergy system for advanced intensity modulated radiation therapy and image guided radiation therapy, according to the Stockholm, Sweden-based Elekta.

In addition, members will also have access to the Elekta Synergy S for the delivery of stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy as well as the Elekta Axesse system for the delivery of extracranial stereotactic radiation therapy and stereotactic radiosurgery applications.
