Elekta taps Unisys for IT outsourcing
Unisys Corporation has signed a global IT outsourcing agreement with Elekta, a Swedish-based provider of radiation therapy devices and information systems.
Unisys, a Blue Bell, Pa.-based information technology services company, said it will manage Elekta’s IT infrastructure to support the organization’s international operations.
The contract, signed in the second quarter of 2007, has an estimated value of $21 million over seven years.
The initial rollout across 22 Elekta locations in Europe, the United States and Asia is scheduled for completion in mid-2008, according to Unisys.
Unisys also said it will manage Elekta’s IT infrastructure, providing a single point of contact for wide-area and local-area networking and security requirements.
