FDA OKs cervical colposcopic display software
The FDA has cleared STI Medical Systems' ImageSense software for visualizing acetowhitening in cervical colposcopic exams.

ImageSense produces a digital output that depicts color differences of the cervix before and after the application of acetic acid during a colposcopic exam. This display digitizes and memorializes acetowhitening to enhance physicians' viewing of the process, the company claimed.

Honolulu-based STI, which produces medical imaging systems and machine vision software as a subsidiary of Science and Technology International, offers ImageSense on its UltraSightHD digital colposcopy system.
