Fonar has sold three more of its Upright Multi-Position MRI, which the company said bring the total number units sold in the U.S. and Europe to 164.

The Melville, N.Y.-based company said the technology images all parts of the body, particularly the spine and joints, in the weight-bearing state. The system is equipped with a MRI-compatible, motorized patient handling system that will move the patient into the magnet and place the anatomy of interest into the center of the magnet gap, according to Fonar.
