GE showcases interoperability at European Connectathon
GE Healthcare has reportedly demonstrated interoperability with more than 130 health IT systems at the Integrating Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Europe 2011 Connectathon in Pisa, Italy.

Sixty-four companies and 130 systems were tested at IHE, which took place April 11 to April 15 and provided interoperability and connectivity testing for health IT systems while promoting the adoption of industry health IT standards.

According to GE, which is based in Waukesha, Wis., the company completed testing for 16 IHE profiles and 27 actor pairs, including the company’s eHealth Information Exchange, Centricity Enterprise Archive 4.x, Centricity PACS 3.x, SenoBright Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography and 3D Tomosynthesis Mammography systems.
