Geisinger to launch Philips eICU program
Royal Philips Electronics has entered into an agreement with Geisinger Health System, headquartered in Danville, Pa., to launch an eICU program.

Philips said its Visicu eICU program combines early warning alerts and remote monitoring technology to connect off-site critical care specialists with intensive care unit (ICU) patients and their bedside care teams. In the program, ICU physicians and nurses execute predefined plans or intervene in emergencies when a patient’s attending physician is not in the ICU, according to the company.

Geisinger is a healthcare system that spans 43 counties of 20,000 square miles and serves 2.6 million people.
